These vintage brass earrings draw inspiration from the mineral pigments found in the Dunhuang murals along the Silk Road. We use a controlled hand-oxidation process to naturally develop verdigris on the brass surface. The blue-green patina blends with the deep metallic base, creating a weathered texture reminiscent of ancient mural pigments flaking over time. Each pair carries a quiet sense of history, as if time itself has settled into the metal.

At Jewea, we design and craft every piece in our studio. We do not pursue industrial uniformity or perfect repetition. Instead, we work with the natural behavior of each material. Oxidation, reaction, and formation are allowed to unfold organically. This gives every piece its own unique surface and irreversible trace of time.

This collection comes in two geometric variations, designed for different moods and everyday styling.

Fan Brass Earrings

• Materials: Natural red agate, aged oxidized brass (verdigris finish), tiger’s eye
• Design: A radiating fan-shaped structure paired with a dangling tiger’s eye stone. The movement creates a subtle swing effect. The design sits between classical ornament and modern geometry, with a strong visual presence.

Disc Brass Earrings

• Materials: Natural red agate, aged oxidized brass (verdigris finish)
• Design: An irregular circular form that highlights a handmade, slightly asymmetrical character. A central red agate stone anchors the composition and creates a calm visual focus. The overall look is restrained and quietly expressive.

The verdigris finish is created through a real oxidation process, not paint or artificial coloring. Because of this, each piece develops its own surface variation. The depth of color, oxidation patterns, and texture are all formed naturally and cannot be replicated.

• Store in a sealed pouch: When not in use, keep the earrings in the provided airtight pouch. This helps slow down further oxidation caused by air and humidity.
